Thousands of years ago, the Chinese discovered that restoring balance to flows of energy in the body could influence health. Modern science has revealed that this energetic system is very real. Russian scientists, who have done more modern research on the human energetic field than probably anyone else, recently proclaimed "There exists in all living things a plasma energy field, without exception”.

The Kirlian photograph on the right shows what many scientists believe to be the ‘plasma energy field’ referred to by the Russian scientists. This Kirlian photograph from Sweden shows the plasma energy field in a leaf. The top half of the leaf had been thrown away before the image was made. What appears in the photograph, however, is the entire leaf in its perfection. This energetic field exists in each of us. This energetic field can become imbalanced, can cause health problems, and can be corrected quite easily, if you know what to do.

We now believe that this energetic field is divided up and organized into three separate categories, energetic systems, Chakras and circuits.

Energetic systems are basically more complex energy circuits, which are responsible for the electrical balance of whole systems in the body, such as the cardiovascular system, immune system, and so forth. We have recently discovered a new classification of systems, for example, which exert control over the glands and organs in the body.

Chakras are deep energy centers in the body which were discovered thousands of years ago, and which, if imbalanced, will prevent the body from having enough energy to heal. As a result, they must also be corrected. A major difference between the Nelson Technique (TNT) and other techniques in Bio-energetic Healing is that we have found that all electrical circuits, systems, and Chakras exist on, and can become imbalanced on ten different levels of energy.

Circuits can be considered to be the equivalent of a breaker or switch in each organ and gland. If you overload any muscle or organ, you can blow the fuse, so to speak, thereby creating imbalance in that organ and its related muscle or muscles, which in turn can cause misalignments in the spine and resulting nerve interference. Many years ago it was realized that each internal organ is related electrically to a specific muscle or muscles.  When you overload an organ and "blow it's fuse", you instantly imbalance the muscle(s) on that same electrical circuit.  Weakened muscles lead to an imbalanced skeleton and biomechanical malfunction.  In other words, if you are suffering from Pain in a certain area, it may be due to a muscular weakness caused by an imbalanced, weakened organ.
