Neck & Shoulder
Pain Testimonials

After being rear-ended in a care accident, I was in extreme pain in my
neck and back of my head. That same evening, Dr. Nelson started treatment
for me, taking special time out of his busy schedule. In less than two
months, his treatments alleviated 98% of the pain, and most importantly,
solved the problem - the subluxations in my spine. Thanks to Dr. Nelson,
my head and neck are back to a healthy state of being!

Due to a severe neck trauma, I was temporarily paralyzed and suffered
severe headaches and numbness. Of course, traditional medicine, neurosurgeons,
neurologists, and orthopedic surgeons could not find any pathology and
were no help in my recovery. I didn't want to take the pain killers and
muscle relaxants and Dr. Nelson agreed. My neck injury caused me to be
disabled from my job without compensation due to the system. Dr. Nelson
keeps me working and symptom free. Without his chiropractic adjustments
and natural therapies, I would not be able to work or even enjoy the simple
pleasures of life. Thanks so much for identifying the problems and for
helping me return to health.

I had neck and shoulder pain for quite some time. It seemed to be aggravated
by stress, and at times I would be completely unable to turn my head from
side to side. After my first appointment, I felt immediate results. Several
sessions later I began to feel a greater range of motion, and great relief.
This work has been wonderful for me, and has brought a more comprehensive
feeling of health and well-being.

When I first came to the office my shoulders were coming out of place
(dislocating) quite frequently. After the first visit I could feel the
difference; my shoulders got stronger and haven't come out since. Now
my shoulders feel like they don't have a problem at all. My favorite thing
that helped me was when Dr. Nelson put my shoulder blade back into alignment.

Prior to my being referred to Dr. Nelson, I had been undergoing a slow
process of physical therapy at a local hospital through my regular physician.
The doctor there had diagnosed my shoulder pain as being "arthritic"
and prescribed pain pills and physical therapy, but it appeared that I
wasn't progressing fast enough. So, after receiving a cortisone injection
to the shoulder from my orthopedic surgeon I sought help from Dr. Nelson.
He advised that the injection would speed up the process and with his
chiropractic care the shoulder would heal quickly.
I have been coming faithfully to see Dr. Nelson since September 1994,
mainly for the frozen right shoulder. But after taking x-rays he found
out that there were other problems that attributed to it, which was the
neck and back. I enrolled in the long-term chiropractic care treatment
because I felt that these other problems needed attention and I wanted
him to take care of them. He made me aware that the body reacts in various
ways when you also have emotional attitudes and feelings to deal with.
They could cause other difficulties.
Dr. Nelson and his method of therapy consisted of physical therapy to
the shoulder, adjustments to my back and neck, massage therapy, and me
accomplishing certain arm exercises. This form of treatment has changed
my life one hundred percent. I am able to participate in aerobic exercises,
move my arm around my back, over my head and actually touch the other
side, something I was not able to do for a long time. I also learned to
dress myself all over again without any assistance. I can now work at
my computer for longer periods of time without actually having to get
irritated and frustrated with the pain to my neck and back. I am very
grateful to Dr. Nelson for his care and patience with my and my shoulder.
Thank you.
